Hi how many miles do you do a week, mixed driving, town driving, motorway and do you know what the code was that put the light on, my guess is P2002 which is a whole different problem.

Steve.

Hi John we had much the same problem but our dpf light was on virtually permanently we took it to a so called Audi specialist who was full of rubbish and couldn’t sort it then we were recommended to Audi Central in Erdington Birmingham who sorted the problem in a day when it came down to it it was a sensor which they replaced I think it was called the Exaust emissions sensor and I believe there are three so they used a donor car to see which sensor and like magic they sorted it . But they did tell me if the DPF was at a certain level of whatever it might need replacing luckily ours was ok and this was done under the warranty given by the dealer we bought the car off

And our Engine Management Light was on it may be worth looking at a warranty we are with Warranty Solutions who are excellent
