A4 2013 EGR clean without taking it out

Hi guys 

I’ve got an engine maintenance light on my dash and when I plug the Carista in it’s coming with EGR, I haven’t got the time to pull it out and clean it proper so does anyone have an idea on cleaning it without pulling it out?

hi,did you end up taking the egr out in the end and cleaning it.if yes what cleaning agent did you use. any pictures as i was going to have a go myself at some point as i know the holes can get blocked even though nothing has appeared on the dash.just a precaution thanks
