audi A3 1.6 tdi 2016 , my near side day time running light LED has become dim/yellow  and told i need to buy new headlight unit to fix issue

however the cost for new unit is around £1000.00  any body know of cheaper fix

I’ve heard of several company’s in Europe offering a service to open and change LED’s but never used any, can’t imagine it would be cheap either. unfortunately we just change the headlamp as no real alternative,
