Audi a3 tdi 2004 won't start

Featured Replies

I have a 2004 tdi. It stopped running last week. Diagnostics said all 4 glow plugs where down which isn't possible so changed the wiring loom to them. It started and ran for a week then stopped again last night. It's as if someone turns it off whilst driving, then won't start. Has anyone else experienced this?

There are a number of reasons why this might be happening as far as I know. I would go with what diagnostics says because it sounds like you implemented a temporary fix for the issue. I know it's not likely that all four would go down but I would point that nothing is impossible other than me flying to Mars without a rocket :)

Glen.

Is this a 1.9 or 2.0 TDI, if 2.0 TDI is it 140 ps or 170 ps? Engine code if possible please (found on the sticker in the boot or on the inside front cover of the service book).
