Scanner that supports Software Updates using IOS/Macbook

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have a 2011 A4 Avant (B8/CDNC) 2.0 TFSI, I'm looking to purchase my first OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner and am completely overwhelmed with all the options available. Ideally I would prefer a cable type unit that I can do software updates via my laptop (IOS/MacBook) rather than the Bluetooth Dongle/Phone App option.

Does anyone use a similar device (maybe more VAG specific) that will meet my needs and if so what type of unit is it....? I'm happy to spend up to maybe £150-200, could possibly stretch a little further, but I definitely don't want a subscription to anything.

If there isn't anything available that suits then what Bluetooth Dongle/Phone App units do people use that are suitable...?

Thanks in advance for any help & suggestions.

Cheers, Johnny.....
