Q5 Brake pad wear indicator fault

Featured Replies

Good morning 🙂

Hopefully someone could offer some help regarding my issue regarding the brake wear indicator warning light .

It started last year intermittent then on at all times . I got the front pads and sensor changed light went off at least for a while to then return a few months later. At this point I went back and bit the bullet to get the rear pads changed to no avail my mechanic suspects a break in the cable . He is an old school mechanic so freely admitted wiring isn't his strong point . My father in law is pretty decent and we had a go checking what we could . Has anyone had this issue before and if so what did you find .

Thanks in advance

Jamie

Did you have the sensors changed on the rear when replacing the pads? I would imagine a diagnostic will be able to point you in the direction of which sensor is throwing the code.
