A3 8v - 1.4TSFI (VCDS error codes) - Gear selector & Boost

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Recently bought my A3 8v 1.4 TSFI, decided to add some adaptations from my VCDS as I did the same with my A6.

Anyways, long story short.... I'm getting the infamous message on my dashboard "Vehicle electronics fault. Shift to P before leaving vehicle. Please contact workshop". So when I decided to add a few adaptions through VCDS, I obviously ran a full scan on the car and it came back with the 2 error listed in the pictures.

Was just wondering, how big of a problem is the (P0238 - Boost Sensor) code? I've ordered a new one and it's on the way. Regarding the Selector lever that's going to be looked at this Friday at my local VAG specialist mechanic as I know it seems to be a common fault but I'm hoping not too costly.

Just to add, i’ve also been experience an increase in fuel consumption. I’m guessing this is down to the boost sensor fault or wiring issue!
