2010 Audi A3 Convertible Water behind N\S Rear light

Featured Replies

Hi All,

First time on the site. We have a 2010 A3 Convertible that keeps getting water behind the n\s rear light when it rains or we wash the car. We have changed the rear light and removed the wheel arch cover and the drain is completely clear. We have tried spraying water underneath the wheel arch and nothing comes through. Water comes to the back of the light when you pour water on the hood and it does take quite a while to fill up the area behind the light. We have checked the small black seal under the hood that directs the water down the drain and that is fine and fitted perfectly snug. We can spray water all over the car but not on the hood and nothing comes through so it is definitely coming from when the hood is wet and it drains down behind the light but we cannot see how it is getting in.

Hopefully someone may have some knowledge on this please.
