Chrome peeling look

Featured Replies

Bought a car and has anyone had this happen. Looks as tho the car wash have used an acid! Best way to resolve I’m guessing is wrapping …..easier than replacing……don’t think I can polish it back……

You will certainly not polish this out, and it is the result of strong chemicals being blasted onto surfaces with high pressure lances. Goodness knows what effect it has had on the soft top fabric. Look out for milky patches in the paint lacquer.

It’s the high cost penalty for using low cost car washers.

Regards,

Gareth.

Yep thought as much. I did get £500 off the price and think I’ll get the chrome wrapped in black….unless any has any other idea!
