No sound from speakers, damp boot on n/s!!!

Featured Replies

Hi guys and first of all I would like to say hello as a new member, I know how useful these forums can be so I hope you can help

Lost all sound from my speakers today, head unit working ok(mmi), there is also a small damp patch in the boot on the near side.

Would I be right in thinking that this water may well have f£&ked the bose amp that sits somewhere round there.

All help and advice welcome before I go to audi.

Is a 2009 a3tdi with mmi and bose

Thanks guys

Matt

Hi S6boy, I would defiantly say that water in the amplifier may be the main cause of the problem.  Obviously you need to trace and fix the leak before you replace the amplifier.  Firstly you need to ascertain if it is rain water leaking in or a leak from the rear washer pipe.
