helljcat1
Hi all, hoping one of you geniuses can help.... Just recently there appears to be a jolt coming from the transmission tunnel area of my 2005 a6 4.2 quattro auto. It only happens at a certain speed and when the car has been on a long run. Its fine under acceleration, on motorway and higher speeds. It happens at approx 40 miles an hour when holding a constant speed and is very intermittent, some days nothing sometimes 4/5 times a day but only when the car has been running for an hour or so. It is quiet noticeable at the time then seems ok for a bit. Is it a sign of bad things to come??? :( Many thanks for any help!
helljcat1
Hi, managed to isolate the fault....it appears that the jolt happens when i am decelerating and the gearbox goes into 5th gear at about 40mph. If i use the manual function and go from6th to 4th at the same speed there is no problem. Any ideas???? Thanks for any help!
