MMI and Navigation System Plus update

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I own an Audi A4 (B8) Saloon SE Technic that came with MMI and Navigation System Plus

I have two questions regarding updating the software.

1)

When I purchased the new car, the dealer told me that I was entitled to 5 free navigation updates in the first 2 and a half years, one in every half year. I called the dealership 8 months after purchase, when they said that's incorrect information and I probably misunderstood. Well, human memory can be misleading, but I'm pretty confident that's what I was told.

Anyone has information on this, please share with me.

2)

After purchase, a CD-ROM was delivered with the car that had a slightly newer version of the MMI software than the factory installed. I went ahead and updated.

Is it possible to obtain new versions (free or paid) so I can update myself (and if so, would that include navigation updates or only the firmware) or it can only be done in an Audi service?

Thank you
