A4 S-Line Black Edition 1.8T FSi real world (petrol) mpg

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I've seen a lovely 13 plate A4 S-Line Black Edition 1.8T FSi, automatic, and in mint condition. My only reservation is that it's a petrol model, and I'm concerned about mpg running costs.

Does anyone have this spec vehicle that can give a reasonably accurate estimate?

I do between 5 & 10k a year, most of it short journeys.

Thanks in advance

Barry

  • 4 weeks later...

I have the same car with the 2.0 TDI 150bhp lump in....

You might not want to hear this but on short runs I'm only getting up to 33-38mpg.

I would work on mid 20's in the 1.8 petrol turbo.

I might be corrected by someone though mate

Thanks Rich,

I bought a [63 plate] 2.0 TDI Black Edition, 150 too, better spec than the petrol one and I'm also only getting around 40/just over, but that's around town, expecting a bit better on longer runs.

Will report back when I've had it a while; I'm considering getting it remapped at some stage, for better torque through the range and a bit of fuel economy improvement

I'm also looking at mapping it but I probably won't touch it until its outside of its 3 year manufactures warranty.

Plus the wife's having it because I'm having a company car so its plenty quick enough for her driving skills haha
