Heavy battery drain

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Have a problem with heavy battery drain on my A4.

Model - 2006 1.9tdi Se.

Car has had two new batterys in two weeks. Alternator has been checked and is charging at 14v.

Anyone any ideas what would be a heavy drain on the car

Thanks in advance

You need to pull fuses one at a time and see what circuit the drain is on, just disconnect a battery terminal, connect an ammeter between the battery terminal and the disconnected cable, you'll be able to see the drain, when you pull the correct fuse the ammeter will drop close to zero, then the fuse box diagram will tell you what that fuse supplies.
