Service Indicator set very low after Audi dealer service??

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just taken out the Audi 2 service plan for vehicles 3-5 years old for £299 .

I thought this would be good value as my 11 plate Q5 was due its 4 year (2nd) service on the long life plan, but now I'm not so sure.

However after the service both the oil service and inspection intervals were reset to just 6200 miles and 365 days!!!

Q) How much control does the dealer have over the selection? Can they program whatever they want on the computer?

I do about 9000 miles a year with an approx 50/50 mix of motorway and local driving. The dealer has confirmed they only use long life oil and they appear to not know why it was set so low!

ON the previous service at approx 18000 miles it was set to around 2 years & 17k miles.

I'm taking the car back to have the other 38000 mile tasks done (eg gearbox oil change as they only did an oil service, so any advice for when I do this??
