Hello all - I have recently replaced my elderly Golf V6 4Motion with an A6 Black Edition Avant.

This is my 2nd Audi, having had a 100 Avant about 15 years ago.

The new one is great, though it doesn't quite have as much 'poke' as my old Golf !  I'm hoping to get more than 25mpg though...

A quick question - does anyone know if it is possible to either turn off, or at least mute, the 'Door Open' warning buzzer.  I know when the door is open - I just don't want to be deafened by an intrusive buzzer !  Is it something I can alter/amend using the MMI interface ?

Sounds like you have picked up a nice Audi!

 

With regards to the door chime, I think it's possible to turn off the seat belt chime via VAGCOM but not the door chime unfortunately :(

Many thanks for your reply with the VAGCOM suggestion/idea.  I am assuming that 'VAGCOM' is a dealer (and/or independent specialist) software system ?

I'm not sure if I have a seat belt chime, though I suspect that my car will not allow me to drive off without having my seat belt fastened....rather more effective than a simple audible warning !

I just wish I could turn down or mute the door chime....perhaps someone may have an idea of how to do it.
