Hi I need help big time i bought an A3 2L tdi 56 plate 72000 on the
clock for £4550 private sale all service history etc had it five days
and the engine cam belt broke you can guess the rest (the belt had been
replaced 18 months ago) the up shot is i have no come back, is the car
scrap or is it worth getting a reconditioned engine? What would be the
best place to buy one (I've heard the horror storys).

Is it worth getting the damage assessed to see if it's in a state to be rebuilt?
