Passenger door thudding

Featured Replies

Hi all,

just bought a Q7 and love the car, my only irritations are a thudding inside the rear passenger door when I open and close it! Like something is loose inside it, any ideas?

and have a clicking sound on electronic tailgate when  i open it?

Derek - perhaps you could post up a short video of these problems so we can hear the noises for ourselves?

Hi James, thanks just uploaded them

Thanks Derek,

The power tailgate sound like it could possibly be the electric motor to me? I did read once of someone mentioning something similar (although I didn't see a video) and swapping out a motor sorted it.

With the regards to the door, it definitely sounds like there is something lose in there. Would be a case of stripping down the door card and taking a look unfortunately.

Thanks,

would anyone know anywhere decent in Birmingham/Wolverhampton where I could get these checked?

I've heard good things about these guys but looks like this is their last day before the Christmas break:
