Front indicator intermittent fault

Featured Replies

Hi all new to forum, I have and a4 b8 that every now and then has the left indicator fault come up on dash, the bulb still works when I Check, it will work ok for weeks then it will happen again, would this be a bad earth?

Could be.. Have you plugged in and scanned for fault codes?

Yeah nothing came up, had give the headlight a tap and bulb seems ok maybe bulb holder? How would you get access to the bulb as it's the eagle eye lights and only looks like access to the headlight bulb?

The bulb holder is a definite possibility. If it is one of those holders that twists out with the bulb still in place it's very common for them to get a dodgy connection. Probably worth pulling it out and taking a look and perhaps cleaning up the connections. It's usually the connections where the holder meets the car not the bulb meeting the holder if that makes sense.
