thanks,james. that web link zeroed on results. the model is a 1995 n reg 2.6 quattro salloon dark mettalic green/115000 miles,generally good condition..?

Hmmm looks like that only goes back to 2001 unfortunately. 

Can't think there will be all that many of them now especially in good condition!
