Rear passenger door not opening from inside? Child proof?

Hello everyone!

I am unable to open the doors from the inside of the car on the rear seats, I understand there is a child lock feature on the door, I have unlocked this and still the door doesn't seem to open from the inside? I noticed that when I pull the door handle it feels very loose and as though nothing is connected to it compared to the front door handle. The weird thing is that its the same on both rear doors!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like it should be the child lock unless you have the driver's door set to unlock separately from the others?
