Next generation Q5

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm new to the forum so just wanted to say 'Hello' to everyone.

I currently own a 2014 Q5, S-Line Plus, and about ready to upgrade.

Does anyone have an idea when the new, lighter weight Q5, with 3D grill etc (as on Q3 & Q7) will be available in the U.K?

I assume it must be coming 'soon' and wondering whether it's worth waiting for, or could it be a year or more away?

Also, is it correct it will be built in Mexico, or is that just for the U.S market?

A few people have noted I may be better off buying an end of line current model, where all the bugs etc have been long ago ironed out, but the thought of brand new technology and perhaps 100 kg weight drop are very tempting.

I would appreciate any info and general views on the subject, I'm sure there must be quite a few Q5 owners in the same situation as me?

Thanks in advance !

Steve.

From the news I've read the general consensus just seems to be 2016, though to be honest it all seems to have gone a bit quiet at the moment!
