rear lights/ what could it be?

Featured Replies

Greeting to all.

Hope you all well.

I have recently developed strange issue with a rear light , as per picture.

Just noticed today that 2 sectors on the rear read light , right side are constantly on, despite the fact that brakes arent engaged.

What could that be?

Ddn't do anything to the car, apart of puting  it through the hand wash today and polishing/waxing later.

Thanks a ton for your input in advance.

How's things and hello to you, welcome to the club

First thing I'd check is the switch behind the brake pedal, make sure it's not stuck on, if it is its fairley cheap and easy to fix

I cannot check the switch as couldn't find. Could you please advice if possible on where is it located ?

Thank you kindly

You need to get up behind the brake pedal to reach it, probably best taking of the plastic trim that is below the steering column to see it clearly,

Pull the brake pedal towards you and have someone watch the lights to see if they go out or not, just out of curiosity
