jaddison
So I am looking to buy a 2013 onwards audi a3. I do a lot of travelling and had all but ruled out a 2.0 as I thought the insurance would have been expensive however it was, on some sites, cheaper than some of the 1.4 models. I am obviously buying the car used and the 1.4/2.0 models do not seem to have a massive price difference on the used market. My question is, will I make large savings with the 2.0tdi on fuel over time (15000+ miles/year) compared to a 1.4tfsi (Likely to be the 120bhp model if I go with it as the 150bhp with the good fuel economy seems over budget) Any help welcome, cheers! Badger67
Hi jaddison, I have a 2.0 sportback tdi 181bhp doing 20k miles a year, if I drive at sub motorway speeds I can return 60+ to the gallon, if I drive like miss daisy between 50 to 60 mph will get low 70mpg if I drive above 70mph will get low to mid 50mpg
