2005 allroad traction control light and abs wont go in gear

Hi all 

wondered if anyone can shed any light on this drove my alllroad for 458 miles yesterday with no problem then abs and traction lights came on and very jolty gearchange its auto stopped to try turning off and on again and now wont go into gear at all get no light next to shifter brake lights are working also got no heater etc aa couldnt diagnose so so far just had car recovered any help would be much appreciated
