2.0tdi oil pump

Featured Replies

Just bought my first audi and I'm doing the timing belt tomorrow. Now I know the 2.0 tdi suffer oil pump failure. Iv been told my car had a replacement engine but I'm not 100% sure if the oil pump was upgraded. Is there any way of checking visually with out taking sump or oil pump off. Thanks in advance

Hi Marco...welcome to the forum

I'm not sure personally, without contacting the person/garage who replaced the engine then I would work on the assumption that it hasn't and replace it as a matter of course.

Let us know how you get on and if you find a way of identifying it as being replaced.

Cheers   Trevor
