hi all seems you can get 12v alternatora and 14v alternators anyone know which is the correct one

most alternators would provide an operating voltage of between 12 to 14 volts which fluctuates depending upon power demands.

the only difference I can think  you may be presented with is the output current (e.g. 60 amps, 80 amps, etc)

o okay because previous owner replaced alternator and said after he did the traction control light comes on after 10mins or so 

euro car parts sell 12v and 14v alternators cheers
