Afternoon all, 

I'm about to take delivery of my A7 2017 car with Techpack (Black Edition) 

having just looked the specs I see now (which, I've missed) is that the new A7 2017 model year can have car play (£250) extra. 

So I'm guessing it's a software upgrade. 

Spoken to dealer and they say it's a factory fit option!? 

Anyone know anyway of upgrading the software on the MMI ?

Hi Michael...welcome to the Forum

I would have thought is was just a case of opening up the option through a software update as opposed to a complete unit replacement at the factory...maybe they are referring to the initial setup procedure (PDI) where this may have occurred at the factory but could still I would have thought been carried out at the dealership.

Just nag them some more and see how you get on.
