diogo.aleixo
Hello everyone Is it possible to force the "manual" transmission on Q7 3.0? What i mean is that, sometimes i am going down a road at lets say 3rd guear and i want to pass to 4th. In that case i have to accelerate so the rpm´s go higher and allow me to manually put the 4th guear. Is ther any way that i can put the gear no matter what? I mean, when going down the road, if you have higher gear car will gain speed and eventually i would end up saving gas. Thank you.
Trevor
Hi Diogo Have you got the paddle shifters on the steering wheel? If not, then you should at least be able to shift the gear selector into S (sport mode) to allow better gear selection in the way you want. diogo.aleixo
Hi Trevor. No i haven´t. I just have the normal P,R,N,D,S. Where in D i can shitf gears. But the engine does not allow me to shift them at lower rpm´s and i would want when going down the road.
rbdazza
sport will drag the gears out even more. if you don't have a maunal selector option (+ and -) you can try fettling the accelerator to force it to change gear. problem is there will be a predefined revs/torque limit for gear changes which you can;t get past. only option would be to get a tuner to change the map on the gearbox

rbdazza
in that case your only option is a remap.

rbdazza
no, you need to look for a tuner local to you and see if they can do it
