A7 2013 Keyless Entry Not Working

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

As some of you know I got my 2013 Audi A7 about 10 days ago. Just realised the keyless entry doesn't work properly. I've been unlocking it up until now. It's quite annoying just wondered if there was any simple setting to turn it on or anything via MMI. I've changed the batteries and no change. All 4 doors are the same none of them unlock or lock. I wouldn't have though all 4 sensors would have gone. I have got it booked in with audi on wednesday. Just wondered if anyone knew if it was a simple fix

Thanks

Not entirely sure but it does sound like it is a programming issue rather than a fault with the vehicle...I'm sure the dealer will advise you (hopefully at little cost to setting up and using the feature)....maybe worth asking them the question before committing it into the workshop.

I'm !Removed! lol apparently those squares on my handles are blanks and it never had keyless entry only stop start so I don't have the advanced key option. The guy fully loaded his car but no keyless entry lol I'd have thought it would be standard on an A7!

Mystery solved !

Luckily it didn't involve taking the car into the workshop and costing you a fortune though.

It's not a bad thing not to have keyless entry...after all it is pretty pointless...where to put the key when you're in the car, what happens when you start the engine but have left the fob back at your house (it does happen), still got to unlock your house with a key so defeating the object of 'keyless'...etc, etc.

Sorry for the rant...you can tell I'm not a fan of keyless entry, yet another useless development in cars that really is ridiculous in it's concept

Oh it went into the workshop but they're not charging me. I have keyless stop/start just have to press the button to lock and unlock lol. To be fair though I'd rather have all the other options and not that than the other way around
