Tyres for A3

Featured Replies

My A3 1.4 TFSI wants to wheel spin rather than grip when pulling away. Tyres are still legal so wondering if anyone can recommend a decent tyre that will give me more grip

I can't fault the Uniroyal rainsport contact 3 tyres.

I was introduced to them via a chap who supplies to several boys who race saloons. On wet days the cars wearing these tyres were some 10 seconds a lap quicker than the next fastest cars. In the dry they were still just as fast as all the other cars too.

Anyways, I have them on the A6 and the T5 and they are just the DB's in my opinion.

Please stay awAy from Dunlop sports!! They are just terrible for front wheel drive cars. Terrible

Thanks Dan, I'll have a look 👍

No problem. I think I paid approx £115 a corner for the 18's on the Audi. But all tyres went up in price at beginning of the year by about 8% if I remember rightly.

Good luck which way you go.

I'd rather pay a bit extra now on tyres that grip than get cheaper ones and having to keep replacing them. Thanks again for the advice
