Putting my A6 C7 on Axle Stands

Featured Replies

Hope someone can help.

I have a 2014 A6 (C7) Avant 3.0 Tdi Quattro

I want to remove wheels for deep cleaning and would like to put car on axle stands. I have not done this before.

I have a good quality trolley jack and I have a "Hockey puck" type adapter to fit into the jacking points near the wheels.

Questions:

1. Is there a safe central jacking point at front and rear to jack up and then place both axle stands

2. If no central point, is it safe to do one axle stand at a time?

3. Where to safely place the axle stands?

Help much appreciated

Sorry that no-one has replied to you since you posted but I suppose it may be that it's a case of if you're not sure then best not to advise and get it wrong.

Personally, I would jack the car up on the sill and then find a suitable point to place a stand and maybe work on one wheel at a time...safest method all round
