Oil pressure light

Hi. The oil pressure light came on the day. So I parked it up. Moved it the following day and I was then getting the turbo whistle and the the light still on. On moving the car today it has has started smoking badly. Loss of power. It's a 2.0 tdi any help on what it could be. Thanks in advance

Sounds like either the turbo or the IC (intercooler) has blown.

However, if is rapidly drinking oil it pointing toward the turbo seals have gone. Is there an obviously oil deposits in the tailpipe?

Hello, Paul! The oil pressure light may be indicating a bad oil pump (probably the famous shaft if it's a 2.0 TDI). When you see the light you are supposed to stop the engine immediately and not start it again until you see a mechanic. What you have done may have damaged the turbo as it is the first part to go bad from low oil pressure...
