  1. I just received my car yesterday having changed a stick thermostat (same symptoms as you). It's running perfectly now. My car is only a humble 2.0TFSI, the genuine VAG stat cost £48, plus 1 hour labour. I had the car serviced at the same time, and just need to take it out for a good long fun run!

Thanks Nick, Its a shame Caroline - the original poster- hasn’t returned to the forum since 20 minutes after she joined, so all the comments are currently to no avail. Kind regards, Gareth.
  3. Thanks Steve Q. The thread makes it clear it's not a job for me! It's not like putting Recaros in my old Mini.
  4. I had a similar issue with my daily, it went back 3 times. Definitely worth contacting your insurance company. I'm with agreas and they've been brilliant. They sent out an assessor, and my advice would be to ask the insurance company to do this.
  5. Exactly! I irony is my Audi abd Ford escort are less damaging bro the planet when you take the build process into account. The carbon used to build electric cars and ship components etc will never be equalized. People who think they're genuinely saving the planet by driving one are misguided.
