  1. Hi car looks great and by the sound of it running great, well done. Steve.
  2. Hi Mike sounds like you have already thought of the ultimate solution, replacing it should give it another 16yrs by which time Greta Thunberg will rule the world and we will all be past caring. The ability to look into your cars innards can get very addictive but who cares as long as you spot the problems before you have to call for recovery, as for the battery most people leave the pairing bit to some acne riddled zoon at Halfords so I would consider it your first step to motoring self sufficiency, it is not as hard as they want you to believe it is. Steve.

Hi relays are probably Hella but TBH most branded relays are good, as for the connecting loom I wouldn't bother unless its as stiff as a Skinheads boot and showing signs of splitting/insulation failure they don't have to do a lot and will soon let you know when they need changing as they normally melt. Steve.
  4. Che k out buyers guides in YouTube. Usually virtual cockpit, tech packs with apple car play etc are extras along with upgraded b&o sound systems.

Hi if you change the Glowies sensible money says change the relay, Bosch are O.E. and its a no brainer if the originals have lasted this long, I wish your garage the best of luck as unless they have been changed before and the threads greased on reassembly its a nail biter of a job. Steve.
  6. Hi just find out what the bulbs are [Handbook] then go on eBay and look for some upgrades for example if the dipped beam is H7 or otherwise have a look at Philips diamond vision. Steve.

On.tbe whole a replacement battery will have to be coded to the car. The life span of the battery should be 5-7 years so there should be plenty of like in it.
  9. I have bought exactly the same one and it is in the glove box ‘just in case’ as so far not had the problem 🤞🏻. I think the price is about right as if it is a pressure sensor all that’s likely to be in there is a sprung loaded bit of material which reacts to the vacuum generated in the servo and relays an ‘on’ message to an ecu to confirm the servo is operating. If the ecu doesn’t get the signal then it compensates by operating the abs unit, which we all know know can’t take fairly continuous operation. No idea how VAG justify their prices but the one I received has ‘made in Germany’ on it, so hopefully not been anywhere near China. Having said that, the Chinese are more than capable of producing very high quality parts if they want/need to and I am pretty sure all the German manufacturers have a fair smattering of Chinese parts made to their own exacting standards. ( Not sure what standards were being followed for these sensors though, pretty minimal ones I would hazard)
