Thanks Steve, Silly question, but we take it you have checked the oil level, and can confirm it doesn’t use a significant amount of oil? Are you able to measure real-time running oil pressure with the diagnostic equipment you have? If not, I would be carrying out this as my first port of call. Next move would then be to drain and refill the oil using. VAG’s Quantum brand Longlife 3 (5w/30?) and test again. Please let us know how you get on.

Hi sorry to hear of your problems, but I would not take your diesel specialist word as law as I have noticed a lot of them dont have the equipment to service Piezo injectors, try United Diesels who are at the top of the injector evolutionary tree, if not try second hand from a company called Nirro they break VAG cars and do some very good parts for not a lot of money, let us know how you get on, BTW I dont blame you for avoiding Alibaba and his four million thieves. When I wanted some clips for a Citroen I found them on Ebay after searching for panel clips or trim clips or something similar. All sorts of clips are available there so close examination of pictures and dimensions was necessary but it paid off.

Hi Les, from memory I think the parking assist light flashes instead of constant and a I received a permanent beep when putting it into reverse. I ordered a replacement speaker from eBay for a few quid (Parking Sensor Warning Buzzer Speaker Buzzer 8E0919279) Then it really is as simple as unplug the old one and plug in the new one. I The speaker wasn’t fixed to anything on mine, it’s just sitting loose behind the driver side rear seatbelt cover. I’m sure there is a few YouTube tutorials on how to remove the plastic coverings but I don’t remember it being too challenging. Good luck 🤞
