  1. Hi - We have the same issue although I have not done anything about it. I plan to grease the lower wishbone bushes without taking them out as a starter which I think someone has done on this forum as an interim. Here is a possible solution https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10236377-0001.pdf. Good luck
  2. over years different self driving functions have crept in. They work to a fashion but nothing replaces a well conditioned, trained and alert Human at the wheel.
  3. Please keep us posted on how you get on. Be prepared to fight it with the warranty company as I'll bet they'll say it's wear and tear. As you paid £7.5k for it makes me wonder if the seller knew the chain needed doing and knew what costs were involved.
  4. Steve. If there is suspicion of the crankshaft I agree with Gareth that it should be inspected as soon as practicable, because the state of this shaft and its bearings will have a huge influence on the cost of the repair, or even the feasability of repairing it at all. Regrinding of crankshafts was common years ago, along with fitting undersize main and big end bearing shells. I do not know if this sort of work is done commercially any more. Perhaps there are classic car restorers who do, but are undersize shells still available? If you can post high resolution pictures of the bearing shells and crankshaft journals we can get an initial idea of their condition and advise further.
