Do a factory reset on the MMI. In the menu, select everything except the Sat Nav. There is a good chance since the car is 2012 it probably had a map update in its lifetime, so you could lose that. Everything else including phones linked to the car will be wiped. If the garage sent out SD cards, then that’s dependent on the MMI staying on, and allowing you to update. If it does, then you’re going to need a trickle charger to the battery. Updating sat nav from SD cards can take a few hours. if the MMI doesn’t stay on, then the car is going to need to be scanned with VCDS to see if there’s a power or critical error with the MMI. It will also show any other logged DTC errors.
  2. Good Evening. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in a TT rear bumper lip diffuser? Brought it without realizing that it wouldn't fit my TT and never managed to return it. Its Gloss Black still boxed/bubble wrapped never even been fitted. See pictures attached. As pictures show cost me £229 and looking to sell for £120 if collected or can post/ship if costs are covered. Also if you would like, I can send you my number and happily video call to show you it's all boxed and brand new.
  3. First step is to get the battery professionally tested. Do not rely on a multimeter reading of voltage because it imposes only a trivial load. If that proves to be OK it's possible the instrument cluster is faulty. It was a common fault on A3s of that era. They can be repaired by various companies at a fraction of the price of a new cluster from Audi.
  4. took the headlining out and tried to run the relearn process but it didn't help. The blind works fine so I swapped the motors between roof and blind, didn't make any difference so the issue must be in the mechanism some where. Decided taking the mech apart was more effort than I wanted to expend so put the headlining back in and just won't use the roof. Maybe in the summer if I still have it I'll pull it all apart and try and fix it
  5. Welcome Simon, Virtually impossible to judge from just ‘good nick….76K’. Suggest searching Car & Classic and EBay websites for guidance. Regards, Gareth.
  6. Thankyou so very much Richard. That link has been a great help. That particular belt i actually have. It connects the bottom oil pump pulley (in the pump sump pan) to the toothed pulley on the crankshaft behind the timing belt toothed pulley. I cannot seem to find the oil / seal cover that fits over the crankshaft. Its a cover seal with a centre oil seal and complete outer rubber seal on the cover , that bolts on with about 9/10 bolts to the engine block and sump upper lip. There are so many variations for petrol and diesel in aftermarket (which i do not want) for this cover , i wanted OEM. I cannot find this cover/seal shown in the catalogue on LLL . It shows the wet belt and pulleys and the oil pump listed , but not the upper pulley cover over it. This cover has to be removed to access the top pulley of the wet belt to fit the wet belt. Cover has a one time PTFE centre seal , which is a one time use fit and has to be renewed after removal. I bought a topran cover on ebay but the quality had a lot to be desired. If you do find the cover /seal on here on LLL much appreciated. Once again thankyou so VERY much for you help Richard , very good website. Cheers ... many thanks
