  2. hi francis, ive the same engine in my coupe and i changed the cold start valve on mine,it definitely improved it but i do get the same problem as you when the engine is cold,is yours ok once it warms up?
  3. ah it could have been a lot worse,at least no other vehicle was involved so its probably a cheap lesson
  4. i can see why it was 1100,it looks like a very professional repair in fairness.it wont happen him again hopefully! Greg
  5. no problem,i know on the a6 of the same year its fairly straightforward, you need to remove the plastic strip that runs back from the door handle, theres 3 bolts there and then theres 2more down onthe panel where the switch is for the elec window. maybe google it and itll show you clearly.Greg
  6. hi richard,i think the history for cam belt change and service history will be online if its been done by audi or a reputable independant garage.Greg
  7. hi imran,id be removing the door car and check is there something loose or if someone previously changed the window reg they may not have put it back properly or maybe left a nut or washer in the door panel.Greg
  8. i agree kev, theyre very overpriced, the only consolation here in eire is theres no import duty.Greg
  9. i checked mine, theres rubber fitted on the top and bottom but the the sides have none,it sits onto the rubber seal thats around the boot,i hope this helps.Greg
  10. ha ha,your not wrong stephen ,they certainly know how to charge.
  11. im not 100% sure are we talking about the same rubber,if you put up a pic ill compare it to mine this evening,Greg
  12. theres also a company called audi tradition in germany, theyre not cheap but supposedly they buy all parts from audi when they are for 15 yr old cars and older,Greg
  13. hi pete, ive a 95 coupe and it has the rubber all around the window, greg
