No ignition help! Absolutely baffled.
I seen something similar when a bcm wasn't coded right to my car(think it wasn't recognising the key so wouldn't let anything power up).. literally couldn't take the handbrake off, no ignition ect. Left it with a guy that re coded it again properly then everything worked.

Back doors don’t lock/unlock
Is rare as it sounds I had two rear lock units fail at the same time on a A4. For the sake for a pattern part what's the harm replacing one for peace of mind .

VCDS Fault codes
That's a uds version , have you done the security access code first before trying the regen? Also to do the regen the car has to be to temp, all aux heaters /rear screen ect on and blower on full.

Can anyone help with reversing light issue please?
I had the same issue with a A4 b8 and it ended up I had to get a new plug (cheap pre wired on AliExpress) one of the pins was fractured and barely connecting.

Q5 2.0tdi manual servicing/ general information
So went onto vcds and tpms is disabled in instruments and on the radio section. When I enabled it the dash lit up with tpms alarm but still no settings to store pressure even after a mmi reboot. The thing is this has 20" rims on it now , I'm wondering if the original tpms was sender's in the rims themselves and the owner changed the rims and got someone to delete the setting. I've turned it off again get the alarms off the dash. Paying to get a mmi firmware and maps update card soon so see if any new settings appear.

Q5 2.0tdi manual servicing/ general information
Thanks for the reply, last service Audi done the cam belt and oil so I'm gonna do another oil change an get the diff done while I'm at it. I'm going to plug vcds in and have a look because definitely cannot find any settings to store tyre pressure. Thankfully 90% of my driving will be motorway so the dpf should get a good clear out. Pity you can't delete them now 🤦🏻.

Q5 2.0tdi manual servicing/ general information
Hey everyone, So got a 2014 q5, manual and tbh finding information is a bit sketchy online with ai also rhyming off wrong facts . So firstly TPMS, I don't have a setting in the mmi , so does this mean I don't have it or has someone deleted it via vcds as the manual with the cars tells you how to set it.also servicing, the book tells me nothing about oil service intervals and also because it's quattro does that mean I have to get diff oil services? It just touched 130k an I think the last owner hasn't down anything since the last Audi service at 110k Thanks

Washer, indicator, cruise stalk
Do they check the wipers over there 😲 our MOT in NI they just check lights , horn ,brake then look underneath

Washer, indicator, cruise stalk
If it's issues when humid then you can use wd40 non residue contact cleaner on the switches. I took mine apart as my main beam flash stopped working, easy enough job. Ignition on but not started, Remove positive terminal on battery, Remove screw covers on steering wheel (3 o clock and 9 o clock position) Remove the two torque screws (t30 I think) Remove center of the steering wheel and disconnect the airbag, Remove center steering wheel bolt ( spline bit tool and large wrench for leverage) Remove steering wheel, Remove lower cowling (1 screw underneath) Lift upper cowling put of the way (2 screws behind steering wheel) Undo blot behind clock spring and levers... Remove the assembly and now you should be able to spray in contact cleaner from the front and back to clean all contacts. Cuts power when accelerating hard past 2500
Also be handy if you know someone with vcds... monitor live data like throttle body position, specified Vs actual readings on fuel rail ect. Also with the rail make sure it's legit sensors and not eBay specials as they cause issues too.

Rattling noise help please
Yeah I paid cash in hand for mine . Good mechanics have good word of mouth reviews.

Cuts power when accelerating hard past 2500
Have you changed the map sensor and fuel regulator sensor? Also check the intake swirl flaps...these can brake then close on their own at high boost as I found out this week .

Brake booster replacement
Has anyone down this, Mine needs changing and any tips more then welcome. YouTube seems to have older gen cars only. Also wondering can you bleed the abs pump without vcds and a second person?

P0299 ( Turbocharger underboost) problems
Did you fix this? I had the same issue and it was my brake booster. Smoke tester will find vac leaks fast.

Rattling noise help please
Yeah they have went up for parts...my dmf cost me 350 for a sachs one on eBay. Is that mechanic charging that for cash in hand 🤔😉

A4 Avant (2014) - MMI is stuck on {Audi Logo} Screen.
My mmi was bricked when the green screen was accessed when I first got the car. My only fix was vcds and go in and reset any alarm codes and remove the function if the extra menu.

Washer, indicator, cruise stalk
A lot of the parts are interchangeable but you need vcds to code them to your car or the car will have a brain !Removed! and your dash will light up like a Xmas tree. I changed my controls to one with cruise control and before I coded it every warning under the sun was flagged. I can't remember where it is now but there is one page on Google under "cruise control retrofit" that one guy posted all the variation of controler codes that work on the A4. Can you not find anyone breaking the same model on eBay?

Fuel filler flap not locking
Also wouldn't harm spraying some wd40 contact cleaner into the pins incase moisture got in there and is blocking the signal.
-
Fuel filler flap not locking
Need to test the wiring to make sure it's actually getting the signal. Can be a broken wire.... It wires straight to the CCU behind the panel on the driver's side of the boot. This is the colours of wires and pins

Regen issues
Finally found the two issues that were causing my problems 🤦🏻 Bit the bullet and bought a smoke tester on eBay. Two vac leaks, one was the brake booster (the check valve was also passing) and the other was the egr cooler solenoid. So I assume with the leak the egr solenoid wasn't opening the bypass door to allow the car to regen, so the car was constantly stuck trying to regen. Hopefully this helps anyone else with this issue.

Juddering on acceleration - but only on first drive of the d
I have a worn engine mount. It rattles a bit then stops when warm but no juddering . Need some to do a live scan first thing, MAF sensor also can cause juddering but usually stays for the whole drive so it's more like something that's fixing itself once warm. Another check someone can do with vcds is your synchro angle on the cam sensor, could be out enough to cause cold shuddering and not trigger a MIL. I got my belts done an the car wasn't pulling at all....then found my synchro angle was out , few mins with a couple of spanners and the car was pulling like a train again.

Mine done this and it was the pressure sensor at fault.
