Roof wrapped
Got the roof wrapped and the bumper protector wrapped (need one for the dog) Also de-badged the rear and replaced chrome Audi badge with black one. Thinking of getting all the chrome done black next along with replacing the red Audi badge on front with black one

Roof wrap
What are people's opinions on a gloss black roof on a red Audi A4 Avant, can't find pictures online to see what it looks like but think it would look cool Also would you wrap any of the spoiler or just leave that red?

Miles to a tank
Yeah i thought it sounded low. The range just keeps on dropping without me doing many miles. when i first filled it said over 600 I have now done about 90 miles and its down to 430 miles. Had a quick look online there and seems the 170 is very bad for fuel

Miles to a tank
I am wondering what other people get out of their 170 diesel. I do mainly short trips which I know wont help but I am getting around 400 miles to a full tank which seems low to me

No detail from Audi
I phoned Audi because I just got the car and wanted to check if any outstanding recalls on it and all they can tell me was there was some warranty work done August 13 and nothing else. My curiosity can't handle not knowing lol is there any other way of finding out what it was that was done.

k & n filter
From what i recall about panel filters try get one with none or very little oil as the oil attaches itself to the maf and can make them go bad

I was actually going to replace it with the normal silver badge but it has grown on me and think it goes quite well now.

Cleaning egr valve
Anyone have experience taking this off and cleaning it? Is it a job for a novice or better taking it to a garage

Rear demister
Managed to sort it. The positive on the left hand side was plugged in but the negative on the right hand side wasn't. I know the rear glass was changed before I got it so the glass guy mustn't of fitted it properly......amateur lol

VAG code readers
Do these cheap ones allow you to make mods or just read codes? Not sure if you need to spend hundreds on the ross-tech one to do any mods

Rear demister
Convinced mine doesn't work. Where is the connection of the wires to the rear screen? Just want to make sure they are plugged in and getting a reading from them. The demister light comes on and stays on but it seems to take an eternity to demist and when it was frozen it didn't do anything.

6th gear
So I just picked up my a4 avant TDI 170bhp. The car was my brother in laws and has sat unused for 9 months and was serviced 2 months before it was put off the road. To me 6th gear feels very sluggish, I had the 140bhp Leon before and in 6th it would accelerate up a hill no problem but I had to drop the Audi to 5th to accelerate. It pulls well in the gears so just want to see if that's how the car is or if it's something I need to look at more
