  1. I have mine wired in using a ignition switched live from the fuse box. You can get hardwire kits such as https://goo.gl/Pwv7Li I have never used these but they seem really safe and easy way to do it. IMO if I could do mine again I would use one.

Just picked this up mid October 2017. Have some plans in my head already of what to do. Already scrapped the black paint from the grill, got some 5 spoke 18s, Hekos, Pressed metal plates. Want to have a look for some inspiration so if anyone has any ideas of what to do next let me know :)
  3. @Steve QRoom for one more? Anyone near Bedfordshire and wanna convoy down? I'll be going M25 then M3?
  4. I play PC when ever I'm not down the bodyshop. Mainly PUGB and CounterStrike. Although even that's only once or twice a week :/ Link to my current build https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/Zfr6Mp Although I got rid of the old PSU and Rainbow cables for a nice EVGA unit with black sleeving. The Corsair LED fans are now gone for replacement by some Noctuas :D If you want to hit me up on Steam then my user name is either iTz_Mattyyy or xXHellaFlush (Can't remember which one you need to type in same accout) Matt
  5. I imagine it's just the flywheel going mental as it's being asked to do a hell of a lot. DMFs are notorious to be rubbish on any car and when you have a mapped engine and plant your foot in a high gear it's just too much for them to handle. I would just be a bit more driver friendly on the flywheel especially as it's gotta deal with even more power. I could be wrong but just my 2p worth
  6. As Steve said the bumper will fit. It's just getting it to fit well. You'll defiantly need obvs a bumper and a bonnet. Wings I'm not 100 on but I don't think you need to change them?? Also need the plugs for the new foglights and need to wire them up to the cars loom I'm looking to do the same conversion at some point
  7. Can't really help you in terms of experience, but I have the same wheels on my 2.0tdi and I'm thinking a nice 35-40mm drop would look the dogs danglies! Wouldn't go any lower than 40mm, even then its a bit on the low side for daily use for me. Have you got a picture of your 205s fitted? I just got my wheels and was thinking of adding some stretch
  8. Has anyone got pair of rear stainless brake flex pipes for a A3 8P 2.0TDI??? Would order from Goodridge but could do with them asap as winter is coming! Cheers Matt
  9. Hey all, Looking to lower my A3 8P by around 30-405mm depending on how my new 18s fit. Seen a nice kit for around £400 to my door for a set of new Koni shocks and H&R springs as a combo. What's people's opinion on ride quality versus a pair of cheap branded coilovers? Also has anyone got a picture of there A3 lowered? Just to get some inspiration. Cheers
  10. Okay I think I've worked it out. I need an Audi double din cage which will allow me to fit the cage that comes with the head unit and it also provides a mounting and location for the climate control unit. I can either find a climate control that came out of a factory double din car so it will just slot in no worries. Or save some money and use my existing unit and trim it to fit. Something like 5-7mm of the sides. Just need to find out if the hazard switch and ESP will be in the same place. If not then need to work out if I need new ones from a DD car.
  11. Hmm sounds like it should work. Would need to get the double din fascia to check how far down I need to move the controls. Or is just as far down as it will go enough? Cheers
  12. Yes mate that's my plan. Only bit I'm confused about is how? Would I need to get the climate control unit from a factory double din car and just install that with a double din fascia and cage? Or is it a case of changing the whole dash? Etc
  13. Hey all, Currently I have the single din radio installed in my car and was wondering if I could modify/swap any parts so I can install an aftermarket Android headunit? Is it just a case of buying all the pieces from a factory double din car? or is there wiring issues etc etc? Cheers Matt
  14. Can't PM you :/ I uploaded them on the forums photo gallery now any way. Thanks
  15. Thank you sir. That's the issue i'm having, there is no 'edit post' button. Normally it's next to the quote button but nothing :/ I hope they weren't on their phone, god that annoys me more than it should! Unlucky to hear that man. Know exactly how much of a pain getting repairs done as I do them all day.
  16. Nightmare! Oh well atleast it gives me time to sort out any bits and pieces that needs doing to the car. It helps a lot that my dad's a mechanic. What's your A6 getting done? Engine rebuild? Oh is there a edit button for things I've posted. Need to update the picture links I've posted as no one can see them I think.
  17. Looking for a set of the 225/40/18 S-Line alloys. Would like them in as good of condition as possible. Not bothered if tyres are shot as I've already got some new toyos to go on. Can pick up with in 50 miles of LU5 Cheers Matt
  18. Cheers Steve, seems like a decent place to lurk around i suppose. Goes to show what you can get if your patient and save up your money. Annoying that I can drive it until December as I have to wait for my insurance to run out to get my NCB. Then on to another chapter of my driving career
  19. Hello, my names Matt. Been looking for a decent A3 for a while now to replace the Corsa. Saw one that caught my attention on fleebay and thought I'd look into it. Long story short 120 miles later it's now sat on my driveway. It's not perfect by any means and most of the small issues wasn't apparent to me before collection. I knew it had some lights on (ABS, TC, EPS) Apparently the steering sensor needs to be reset but we think it's probably an ABS sensor gone/rusty hub. It has a few dings and scratches but nothing I can't sort out as i'm currently doing an apprenticeship at a body shop to become a sprayer. It has 95K on the clock which is basically only just broken in the 2.0 diesel lump. Was serviced it's whole life at an Audi specialist using genuine parts. When I first got the car home Today, first thing that had to be done was a thorough decontamination and machine polish to see what state the paint is actually in behind the 14 years of abuse. Already have a few things bought for it like, 2.0TDI badge that is missing, pressed metal number plates, HEKOs, and some 18in S-Line wheels freshly refurbished. Quite good for an 18 year old :) Matt
