  2. Got the same engine in a 2017 A4 Allroad. The 3.0 TDI and Tiptronic 8-speed is wonderful to drive. Loads of low end torque. On A6, then you have air suspension as standard. Normally pretty bullet proof, but these cars are getting on a bit, so due diligence and all that. If you have access to VCDS, then worth scanning the car for any historic faults. This will be Euro 6, so have AdBlue, DPF and EGR. Use premium diesel and don't do short start stop journeys. Make sure nothing has been deleted. Suspension wise, if over 100k miles check advisories on previous MOTs. Upper arm and front lower trailing arms (hydra bushes). Check all the toys work. Sat Nav will likely need update, and potentially need air con regas. History is critical, so that's oil changes every 5-8k miles, 10k miles at a push. Rear diff gear oil change by 100k miles and ZF make service kit for transmission. Personally I'd do by 8 years or 80k miles. Check bodywork, but normally age well with very little rust. Rear subframes known to get crusty, so wash down and coat with Lanoguard. Not aware of issues with panoramic sunroof if fitted. B8 A4 platform was different and plagued with issues. Clean out drain channels. Specific grease from VW to lube guides, although expensive.
  3. Brilliant, thank you.

  5. Hi all I’m just wondering if someone can help me, I have some fault codes on my Audi a1 after having a new alternator/belt and tensioner
  6. Hey guys, I think I'm having the same issue, loss of coolant no visible leak no evidence of anything in the oil e.t.c. Curious if you had come to an answer. TIA
  7. Hello all. Just bought a 75k miles 2018 1.6TDI which also makes an intermittent high pitched squeal from the right / rear side of the car. Turning the engine off & restarting sometimes stops the noise. Car is going back to the garage where we bought it from & I will update you on outcome. Not holding my breath as they sold the car with 1 winter tyre (FOS) 1 part worn (FNS) & 2 cheapo-no-grip on the rear!

  9. Hi there, we haven't unfortunately. Not heard of this show. Will check it out.
  10. OK Colin, now we understand. I would be surprised if 17 wasn’t standard/ available option. Now you need to check the hand book/ inside fuel filter cap to ensure that is correct, and that the tyre width and profile match what is specified, and the tyre pressures are set to the required pressure Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  11. Thanks Ash, I have replied on your post as well, just out of curiosity did it cost more to insure been an import ?
  12. You can order the matrix lights on the myAudi app. I think one off £1 for a month initially on most the in app addons but thereafter user term choice and price dependant on pack.
  13. Yes I've checked everywhere in the car for loose bits and parts it's driving me mad and my husband we totally stumped
  14. Has the egr been fitted correctly? Or blanked off correctly? It might need an Audi specialist who him should have a more advanced diagnostic machine.
  15. Think the bumper has to come off to remove the headlight.
  16. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  17. Hello Sean, It’s now Wednesday following you joining and posting your request for help on Monday. Mark has given you a most helpful reply, but it appears you have not returned to the forum to read, let alone acknowledge, the help you have been given. Please don’t continue this ‘Post and run’ tactic. Regards, Gareth.
  18. Hello Holly, I can understand you being the parts chaser, otherwise you are paying the mechanic for his time to do so. Having said that, I don’t know exactly how you are going about this, where you have looked to date, whether you are set on secondhand parts, and all important - do you know the part number of the hub you are searching for. Perhaps you could colour in this detail for us Holly. Regards, Gareth.

  22. I started my car a couple weeks ago and accidentally blipped the throttle while it was on cold start and got this horrible rattle that I can produce every time, it now does it for a split second when first cranking the car. Does this sound like the chain? Thanks https://youtube.com/shorts/x58XhvWhios?si=z8ipEYDhh-ZZeeoB
  23. Sad to say I'm selling what has been my pride and joy for the last 4 years. Honestly gutted to be selling but I have a new job that comes with a company car benefit too good to ignore (making the jump to EV...). 3 owners, full service history and I've just had all 4 alloys refurbished, she's running great and looks even better. 24. Seen a few comments that say sonos takes more time to adjust to your liking than b&o.
  25. Any comment on the last three replies Dm? I know you have seen them.
  26. Thanks for the quick response! I was suspecting a worn rubber bush or but always worry it might be more (praying its not!). There's no leaking fluid anyway but I will update as soon as I get it looked at.
