  2. Look at Celtic tuning, revo or darkside developments for remap. Powerflow exhausts for stainless steel systems.
  3. Really? That seems a daft design but makes sense too.
  4. I'd look on eBay for a second hand button or head unit.
  5. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the imobiliser
  6. Fellow members have tried to ship to UK and they've refused
  7. I might have to contact them regarding my engine situation as I took DM in Leicester. Thank you for the recommendation
  8. If it's had an adblue delete it would suggest it's got a major problem with the adblue system and will need a lot spending on it if you want it working. If it were me I'd leave it alone.
  9. I don't believe they'll fit.
  10. Well there’s no leakage around the injectors.
  11. I think most splitters will fit below.
  12. I'd recommend taking it back to the coder. Alternatively autologics or Audi retrofits might be able to help
  13. I don't believe so. Darkside developments will probably do an updated one if you need one.
  14. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 looks a lovely car 👍

  17. No worries. I am no expert in jack quality, I only ever have used the various jacks that came with my cars over the years. Looking at the jack that came with the space saver, I cant really comment on its quality nor can I argue with Martyn saying it was rubbish, especially when I havent used it in anger.
  18. Hi the power spike is always there thats how the car checks its own electrics for things like diodes that have been fitted to airbag connections to shut the airbag light, myself I would be looking at the battery, what brand and has it been coded to the car properly, these vehicles are very twitchy about the kind of battery used and as an example my A6 had a new Yuasa battery just before the lockdown and sat for the first three weeks before I drove it anywhere. Steve.
  19. Hi they are not that difficult if you observe the following you will need a deep socket and a low poundage/NM torque wrench and a can of plus gas, get the engine nice and hot and using the torque wrench set at no more than 30nm undo the plug if it wont move at that setting apply a liberal dose of plus gas and leave to soak for twenty mins, go on to the next plug with luck they will all give a little click and come loose [Do not force the plugs] as if you snap one they have to be removed by a professional removal tool, mucho deniro, when replacing coat the threads in a smear of Aluminium paste making sure not to get any on the heating element, when tightening the new plugs don't go more than 28nm. Steve.
  20. Good luck with ‘getting your rights’ Shelley. Percy Verance will be your best friend, so keep at it. Perhaps you can continue to keep us posted. Kind regards, Gareth.
  21. Thanks Allan, Glad you have started to sort this out. 30 profile tyres - hope your back is in good shape, and the potholes are kind to you! An interesting take on budget tyres, and very true if the driving style is ‘to the limit’ - just don’t go there. As it happens, I have used Accelera tyres on earlier family cars and never had a worrying moment with them during ‘ordinary’ driving. All I can say is that if the budget only stretches to budget tyres, and your driving style isn’t ’to the limit’ then Accelera would be my brand of choice, based on earlier experience. Kind regards, Gareth.
  22. The DSG should be comparable to a manual change box in terms of power transmission efficiency. One of the incentives to develop DSG was to eliminate the hydraulic slip associated with torque converters. (As an aside I might add that later torque converters sometimes had a device to lock the TC at high speed, thus reducing the overall loss.)
  23. Assuming you don't mean Extra Sensory Perception, what exactly does not work about yours? Some details might help to get some more helpful replies.
  24. Hello Mark, Have a read through the various posts on the subject, and continue to be concerned. Sorry I can’t help with a local independent, but have you tried a Google search. I would have thought that a trusted local garage should be able to do this for you. Kind regards, Gareth.
  25. Take it back to the dealer. It may be a simple fix or it may be an expensive one. Either way you should not have to bear the cost.
