  2. Tim. If you look through the forum history you will see that changing from tungsten to LED is far from straightforward, and sometimes impossible. If your lights are dim it would be simpler to just renew the bolbs. Incandescant lights do become dim over time.
  3. John. You have only done one CV joint so I would suspect the other side also needs to be changed. They tend to wear out at the same rate.
  4. I fitted these P21w 1156 Ba15s LED Bulb White 6000K 6W 12V-24V DC10-30V Super Bright for Reverse Light Brake Turn Signal RV Interior Light Auto Backup Rear Fog Lamp Stop Drl Tail Position Bulbs Rear Fog Lamp 2 Pack : Amazon.co.uk: Automotive Absolutely no problems or errors and they're a huge improvement over the originals, like day and night (no pun intended. My A6 is a 2003 though so possibly may not be as fussy as newer models?

  6. Is there a link for the stickers please
  7. I’m about to start looking for an SQ5 between 2017 and 2019 and I’m undecided to which engine to go for was hoping to get some feedback on reliability between the TFSI and the TDI many thanks, Alan Reed
  8. The longer you drive with a defective clutch you run the risk of damaging your DMF which would cost you alot to replace, I would change it sooner rather then later. My biting point with old clutch and new clutch is smack in the middle. Sacs clutch’s like what will be fitted to b9’s shouldn’t experience bite point travel, they usually just start slipping once all travel is used
  9. Have you checked your serpentine belt as may be contaminated with antifreeze which would cause slippage under load.
  10. update again here is a read out for now on the battery until i can find somewhere to have it fully checked over
  11. I bought another replace screen that definitely works but it still had the same probably and I’m not sure what else to do?
  12. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  13. Please contact Trevor the Audi owners club administrator. His user name is Audi owners club. As the club is managed by a limited company I suspect you'd be in breach of copyright. Trevor can send them out to you

  15. Did anyone get to the bottom of this problem as we are now experiencing the same thing?
  16. Take it back. Transmission issues rarely resolve themselves. Assuming this is 7-speed S tronic. It needs serviced every 38k miles. If gearbox was serviced, I’d want written notification of that. It could be a firmware issue of course, so would need need a scan to check what’s what, but first thing the dealer is likely to do is drop the oil, new filter, etc. If there any contamination in the gearbox, then that’s on them.
  17. Was your problem ever resolved Cooper? We have found ourselves with the exact same fault with our A1 (68 reg) and the car was sold to us by Audi used dealer with a ‘makeshift earth repair’ on one side which has now burnt out again and the other side is heading in the same direction. We’ve only had the car six months and have an Audi extended warranty for another 6 months. Not sure if it can be fixed under that. But if the fault reoccurs it leaves me nervous.
  18. Try speaking to these people about what you want to do and what you'll need Car Stereo Car Audio | Dynamic Sounds | Car Stereo System ... They seem to be very good and not too expensive.
  19. I will wait for the Vid..
  20. Last bit :- vital that you do in my book Andy, before committing. Please do not be mislead into thinking low mileage is any assurance from potential issues, since if you consider such low mileage is usually as a result of short journey use, with numerous gear changes etc. along with stops and starts, and braking. Always worth reviewing the broader picture of pros and cons of low mileage compared with the same car covering high motorway miles at optimum operating conditions. Regards, Gareth.
  21. I have to agree with Cliff I suspect it's the amplifier. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  22. Please keep us updated on how you get on
  23. I'm near Leicester. I used AC motors on wanlip road in Syston. They're very good. You also have vee dub in Queniborough but I've never used them. Chapmans independent audi specialist in Wigston but again not used them.
  24. I have the same on a Q3 sportback 2024. Audi have had it 3 times and have now told me that’s what it’s supposed to sound like. I said what Audi have purposely added a really annoying noise on an expensive car as standard. They did change the activated charcoal line in mine as that is a common issue as they split but it has made no difference. I have had other mechanics say it could be transmission, turbo, air intake timing belt/chain or electrical. I said to Audi what I don’t want is to come back when it’s out of warranty and then be told I have a big problem and it’s going to cost me a fortune. The thing is quite a few people have the same issue so there has to be a problem.
  25. Hi - had the same problem and my local garages did not the soft ware to unlock the unit. However I found a local auto electrian who had the software and he successfully unlocked it.
  26. Many thanks Richard for your help. I have dismantled both front brake calipers and though the pads and discs are as new, all was really dry of grease. Using the ceramic I greased all as appropriate. Just done a road test the rattle has basically gone. Only a little rattle over pot holes which should avoided anywhere. New caliper springs and gease up -job done. Thanks again.
