  2. Hi all, I bought this lovely S8 knowing it had an abs pump issue. I purchased a 2nd hand abs pump which had the exact like for like part numbers however, I can't get the thing to code successfully. The old faulty unit can't be read either to copy the codes. Does anyone know how to code the replaced unit to the car? Im happy to pay whatever the price is and I can travel too. Thanks
  3. My 2022 Q5 PHEV will take a charge and will display it has 23 miles on the charge and within 2-3 miles the battery is completely depleted. Any advice on what to do would be appreciated.
  4. My new toy. Stumbled across it whilst at work and after showing interest, the owner offered it to me for a fair price. Anyone happen to know this car?
  5. Thanks for your advice Clifford. It wasn't what I wanted to hear but it is what it is, I guess. I have already been in contact with the two leads you supplied. Any idea what the scrap value of my car is? Kind regards, Colin Dimes.
  6. Please answer the question Cliff asked Tony - distributor has points and condenser or not- ?
  7. I'm only on my second Audi but it does seem that water ingress, electrical issues, and a combination of the two are a constant problem whatever the age of the car. It's like owning a 1970's Alfasud but without the rust. Shame as I really love styling and the way they get down the road.

  9. Welcome aboard mate, and nice looking motor too. And I have the same problem with the sensors, not fun with the sedan, and that's coming from an ex HGV1 driver.
  10. The old trick for cleaning the inside of a fuel tank was to throw in a handful of nut (the ones that go on bolts, not the KP variety!) and then shake your moneymaker like your life depended on it, obviously removing anything like fuel sender etc first.
  11. Oh ok thanks , I took it to him with a clicking when turning left , got it back and the clicking was gone , but now have the single knock when initial acceleration in drive and reverse . So hopefully the 2nd new outer cv joint will fix this .
  12. who knows why the machine says wiltshire clifford.also the dates wrong,as i had it checked today lol
  13. Thanks! In fact I've spent 2.500 Euros so far to get a promising 2.5Tdi for another 200.000Km without any more issues than the regular oil change. Every year I've spent like 4k Euros on my old car, a Land Rover Discovery Sport 2.0 Ingenium. So... 2.5K Euros for some "peace" is quite good for me! 😁 Cheers
  14. i bought an audi a 4 b8 with bills and with one bill it said clutch high.it showed no signs of slipping then 3.5 years later it suddenly started to go then went completely while on a busy by pass.all changed including fly wheel £1500 garage in north yorkshire
  15. This is sorted now I pulled relay 208 pulled the injectors bridged the relay and lifted the flap on the metering head. Eventually got a good delivery of fuel from each injector. But no spark back to it.

  18. Tim. If you look through the forum history you will see that changing from tungsten to LED is far from straightforward, and sometimes impossible. If your lights are dim it would be simpler to just renew the bolbs. Incandescant lights do become dim over time.
  19. Is there a link for the stickers please
  20. I’m about to start looking for an SQ5 between 2017 and 2019 and I’m undecided to which engine to go for was hoping to get some feedback on reliability between the TFSI and the TDI many thanks, Alan Reed
  21. I bought another replace screen that definitely works but it still had the same probably and I’m not sure what else to do?

  23. Please contact Trevor the Audi owners club administrator. His user name is Audi owners club. As the club is managed by a limited company I suspect you'd be in breach of copyright. Trevor can send them out to you

  25. Did anyone get to the bottom of this problem as we are now experiencing the same thing?
  26. Take it back. Transmission issues rarely resolve themselves. Assuming this is 7-speed S tronic. It needs serviced every 38k miles. If gearbox was serviced, I’d want written notification of that. It could be a firmware issue of course, so would need need a scan to check what’s what, but first thing the dealer is likely to do is drop the oil, new filter, etc. If there any contamination in the gearbox, then that’s on them.
