  4. Go on LLL Parts website, and see what info comes up against your VIN. It might come up with accessories part numbers.
  5. Welcome Luke. Can we take it you have a record of its previous service history, to know - as a base point - what has been done and what hasn’t -? Mileage? Will you be doing your own servicing and maintenance? Regards, Gareth.
  6. Hey Cliff Just looking at AI .....as you do now ! and it says there that it could be down to two things. Water ingress of the aerial ? I cannot think it's that as the car is only 3 months old and I do remember now that I had this happen on the day I picked it up on the drive back from Bury St.Edmunds to Hampshire. I thought it was me at the time being dopey with the MMI settings ! And it also went on to say that if the fault was the aerial, I would have trouble too with the SatNav as the GPS and the radio use the same antenna....and SatNav works fine. I get the feeling it might be software ......surprise surprise !!!! Cheers. Will come back

Hi Rob, There are some really helpful sites on the internet that can steer you through the minefield of offsets, wheel widths, tyre sizes and profiles www.willtheyfit.com and www.wheel-size.com to name just two, but there are others. They are relatively straightforward and you are asked to specify your current set up and then you can input your favoured sizes and the site will quickly tell you how your favoured sizes will fit and importantly sit on the vehicle. You can input as many size options as we want and as many times as you want, I was over a 12 months trying to find alloys and tyres to fit my S7 and eventually with the help of aforementioned sites I eventually found a set of wheels I liked and that would fit. No spacers, just extra length wheel bolts (from H&S) to accommodate the different offset. The other thing to bear in mind, but on an A6 (not an S6) I think you should be ok, is the physical size of the front brake callipers. For me this was an additional problem. Anyway like you, I wanted alloys that filled my arches, that didn't stick out and didn't look ridiculous. I hope I achieved it, but its very subjective!!! Hope this is helpful & best of luck

  12. If radio is the only fault my first suspect would be the aerial connection.

  15. Car going well after 3 months and conpared to some poor folk on here ,I have had no issues with the software bar one. I sometimes cannot access any channel on my radio. This only occurs sporadically and it happens in many places, so nothing to do with signal strength. The radio will play perfectly on a local channel, Radio Solent or the other day, when I wanted to listen to the cricket commentary on Radio 5 Live. However when I sometimes go to the channel list on the MMI and try to switch to a new channel, I get nothing. No sound at all. Leave the car for 20 mins or so and it clears. Any ideas please ? And just as a general question. On my " My Audi " on my phone, my installed software is : 06.02.01/C Eveyone else got that now ?

  18. Looked at eBay it's just my car sits in the middle it's not a b8 ,nor a b9 I will have a look at your suggestions,I have seen ones on Amazon for the b9 that looks more like shape of back bumper thanks for your help
  19. Correct. I have about 100 clear photos of the car and its complete restoration. I'm happy to answer any queries. Please PM me if of interest. Thank you.
  20. Audi Parts Direct Cardiff? Have you searched EBay for aftermarket ones, and Aliexpress? Regards, Gareth.
  21. Just to clarify for any interested members, although you are selling the car, you aren’t the registered owner, and the ‘registered?’ owner has a number of cars which he wants to sell.
  22. Yes, private sale, I'm selling on behalf of my boss who wants me to sell several classic cars for him, this being one. Happy to verify in any way if needs be.
  23. Tried Audi parts direct said Audi don't do it for my car and my back bumper is different shape being the 8.5 just wondered if anyone knows of aftermarket places that do the facelift
  24. Private sale by the registered owner Nick?
  25. This isn’t going to be that helpful a response to you Zac, but may prevent others falling into the same trap. Anyone going into the purchase of a vehicle which is known to have been mapped, is far more likely to be jumping into bed with trouble. Regards, Gareth.
  26. 1987 Audi UR Quattro RH Drive Price: £70,000 Mileage: 159,500 miles Location: Buckinghamshire Registration: D10 VUR MOT: [MOT can be supplied on sale] Photos: Link Highlights Comprehensive bare-metal restoration completed by previous owner Extensive history file from new Original service book and owner manuals Full photographic restoration record Original, unmodified specification Engine comprehensively rebuilt Fuel metering head professionally refurbished Turbocharger overhauled New clutch Rebuilt suspension with new bushes and links New braking system throughout Stainless-steel exhaust Original interior preserved Refurbished digital dashboard Refurbished original alloy wheels with new tyres Stored indoors since restoration with minimal use Overview Offered for sale is an exceptional 1987 Audi UR Quattro, widely regarded as one of the most significant performance cars of its era and the model that established Audi's legendary quattro drivetrain. This particular example has benefited from a no-expense-spared bare-metal restoration completed by the previous owner, who specifically sought out a sound, original and unmodified car as the basis for the project. The result is a beautifully presented UR Quattro that remains faithful to its original specification while benefiting from extensive mechanical and cosmetic refurbishment throughout. Showing 159,500 miles, the car is accompanied by a comprehensive history file and extensive photographic documentation covering the restoration from start to finish. Restoration & Mechanical Work The shell was stripped to bare metal, with all necessary corrosion repairs professionally completed before being seam-sealed, rust-proofed and repainted throughout. Suspension and chassis components were removed, refurbished and refinished, with new fixings and bushes fitted throughout. The original 10-valve turbocharged five-cylinder engine has been comprehensively rebuilt, including refurbishment of the fuel metering head and fuel injection system, overhaul of the turbocharger, renewal of the cooling system and refurbishment of the intercooler. Additional work includes: New clutch Rebuilt suspension New bushes and links New braking system throughout Stainless-steel exhaust system Serviced transmission and driveline components The car has seen virtually no use since completion of the restoration and has been stored indoors. The cabin offers exactly the authentic period feel expected from a well-preserved UR Quattro. Exterior Finished to an exceptional standard, the bodywork is straight with excellent panel fit throughout. The original alloy wheels have been professionally refurbished and finished in gloss white, fitted with new tyres. Original glass is retained throughout and remains in excellent condition. A set of original four-ring decals is included with the sale should the next owner wish to fit them. History File The car is supplied with: Original service book Original owner manuals Previous MOT certificates Extensive service history Comprehensive photographic restoration record Restoration invoices and supporting documentation Summary Finding a genuinely restored, largely original UR Quattro is becoming increasingly difficult. This example combines extensive documented restoration work with originality, provenance and exceptional presentation throughout. A rare opportunity to acquire one of Audi's most iconic and influential models in collector-grade condition.

Ideally you need to measure front and rear wheel arch gap. Going to an et35 is the same as putting a 10mm spacer as long as the width is the same, as going wider alters the amount of spacer required or offset required.

  35. In the summer of 2024, I had to contact Audi Assist as an amber light on the dashboard came on. A mechanic came out and installed his diagnostic tool. Initially, the error code was referring to a faulty overhead console dome; however, after clearing the codes, the lights went off, and that was the end of it. This year, another amber light came on, and once diagnosed by Audi, it was found to be a faulty overhead console dome, which now has to be replaced and is getting carried out tomorrow (Wednesday) at a total cost of £970. Do I have a goodwill claim against Audi and if so does anyone know how or who to contact?
  36. Hello people, first post as I'm new to this forum. 2017 A3 Cabriolet and I'd like to fit a dashcam. I've done it in other vehicles but the trim around the top of the screen looks a bit tricky. Any tricks or pointers to stop me buggering up the existing wiring, airbags or trim. I'm tossing up between the Vantrue E1 pro and the Viofo A119 mini. I'd like to hard wire it, but I don't use the 12v socket at the front of the centre console so it's not a biggie if it's not possible.
