  2. Battery is all good 12.6 volts if i remember correct and 13+ when running The steering draws power and causes a dip in rpm followed by a slight vibration, normal on some vehicles i believe but not feels somewhat severe
  3. Very risky without a service history. Walk away from the deal.
  4. Maidstone to London is an hour each way; Maidstone to Framlingham is three hours each way. Those journeys should be more than enough to induce regular regenerations to keep the DPF clear. Have you had any engine or Adblue warnings other than DPF?
  5. Today
  6. Hi All I am interested in purchasing a 2021 A3 TFSIe but it does not have the Adaptive Cruise Control and people have mentioned that you can purchase this from FOD. How do you control the function if your purchase it as the car I am looking at does not have the function button on the cruise control stalk on the steering wheel ? Many thanks on advance
  7. Hi...looking for some assistance on my MMI system in the 2017 Q7. Looking for part # 4M1035040, if anybody has obe available
  8. Hi I want to buy a 2011 Audi a4 2.0 TFSI Dynamik S Tronic quattro It is 84k miles in the UK. But no service history. The guy is selling it for 6600. Is it risky buying this car
  9. I am wondering if anyone else has come across the following problem we are experiencing at the moment, the warning light come on in the car and we booked in to Marshalls at Maidstone my local dealer, it was diagnosed to have the above, we was then told that the repairs would not be carried out under the warranty and used the term driver profiling due to too many short trips, which I cannot understand as I travel from Maidstone to London at least 3 times a week and to my company's HQ in Suffolk weekly , would be grateful for any feedback if anyone else has had issues.
  10. Hi cvp99 I am interested in purchasing a 2021 A3 TFSIe but it does not have the Adaptive Cruise Control and you mentioned that you can purchase this from FOD. 11. You won't find defective CV joints with a crowbar. You need to clamp self locking grips onto the drive shaft and rotate it violently to detect any rotational slack. The gearbox needs to be locked by putting into a gear, and the wheels need to be locked either with the brakes or being on the ground while doing the test.
  12. I don't know where I have put the print out. I think I might have binned it by accident. I need to get to the dealers again and get another printout.
  13. There has been similar cases. Make sure any sound deadening you're planning to fit in the wheel arches is water proof. Otherwise it'll trap moisture and rot the wings from inside out. You'd be best putting it on the bulkhead underneath the dash and footwells.
  14. Have you had the battery checked? As a failing battery can cause electrical issues. The steering could be a sensor, module or worse case scenario the rack itself.
  15. Welcome Robin, I’m sure there was a thread (a couple of months back?) where someone had insulated an A1 to try to reduce what may have been tyre noise. Worth a search. Regards, Gareth.
  16. It doesn't do it when driving along at speeds above about 30 mph, most pronounced when driving slowly, liken manouvering in a supermarket car park, will knock when driving straight or turning (slightly worse when turning) whether on rough roads or smooth. Nothing felt through the steering , I've tried tied the usual CV test of putting on full lock, no noise , there seems to be very little shunt when queuing from the drivetrain.....it seems to be coming from the passenger side front, although its hard to be sure, have jacked it up, got a pry bar in everywhere, got my wife to turn the wheel while I listen with on jack and also when loaded, can't find anything obvious.
  17. Yesterday
  18. I just checked the part on my car:) seems like is the genuine part, got the W/AG on it.
  19. Hi All 🙂 Just purchased a 2024 A3 black edition with the 19 inch wheels and getting a fair bit of road noise in the cabin on certain surfaces. Wondered if anybody has had practical experience installing sound deadening / insulation that reduces road noise? Perhaps inside the front wheel arches either on the metal body work or on top off the plastic wheel arch liner itself? (dunno which would make the most difference, if any.) FYI - I have covered the boot in silent coat 2mm and closed cell foam and think that's had a noticeable difference that side of the car. Front wheels seem to be the main culprit now affecting my rather OCD tendencies :-) Before going to the hassle of taking the wheels off and removing the wheel liner, I thought I'd check with folks here as I'm sure I can't be the only one who's thought about doing this! Thanks in advance. Rob.
  20. Any update on this issue ?
  21. And dare I say, the originals don’t look to be the best quality.
  22. Thanks guys. I’ve listed my RS4 on this site, as well as on RS246 (long time member) and Audi-Sport. Will see what interest I get. I am not in a rush to sell it, and it needs to go to an enthusiast as it is absolutely mint. WBAC don’t have good pricing for high performance cars as there is too much risk with them. Motorway I have a bad experience - they give you an indication which you can reject but if you decide to go to ‘auction’ you commit to sell. My VW Up! Got one bid at the reserve and it went - which in hindsight I should have put the reserve higher, but they suggested a low reserve to drum up bidding. My local VW garage bought it and were amazed at the price they paid - I felt the fool… if nothing comes from the forums in the next week or so I’ll put it up on AutoTrader, PistonHeads and maybe eBay. Thanks again. Sam
  23. Hi Gareth, Many thanks for your reply, I got in touch yesterday regarding the mats. Not yet chosen, but am now open minded about the originals, as they are so hard to come by. Best regards Sam.
  24. Hey kev, sorry I didn't respond. Will take a look
  25. This could be an issue with the instrument cluster. Might be worth getting an auto electrician to take a look
