  2. I've had my 2020 A4 b9.5 diesel 2.0 35 for 4 months, it's an Audi approved used and fitted with the standard 225/50 R17 tyres. On LH bends, even gentle ones the oversteer is very noticeable the front end is tucking in and the rear feels like it wants to turn out. On RH bends theres a slight understeer and and the car can be cornered much faster with no issues. (I'm running the lower"comfort" tyre pressures at present). Please note, this is on UK roads driving on the left. I've had several people drive the car and they've experienced the same issue so I'm confident it's not my driving style. Has anyone had similar issues? My Audi dealer advised that on the pre sale inspection one of the rear shock absorber was replaced . Maybe they should have changed both?
  3. I have the problem of steaming up camera wing mirrors. The offside after 3 months of buying my Audi Etron QUATTRO 55. Then both of them 6 months after that all visits under warranty on a 2020 model. I live on the Isle of Lewis so cannot just pop in to the nearest Audi dealer. Today the nearside steamed up again so I carefully removed the bezel and very carefully prized the class screen. I say VERY carefully!! The glass/clear poly carbonate did not break and wiped off all the moisture with a camera lens cleaning cloth. Back to perfect vision then started to mist up a couple of hours later. Very poor design so when there is some really sunny hot weather I will do the same again and let it breath. I am tempted to put a some silica gel bag in the housing and get to the bottom of why moisture is getting in there. This should not happen on a car that is an expensive luxury car.. Richard
  4. A1 tdi 2014. The fuel tank filler flap will only open if I click the key fob to open the car even when the car is already unlocked? I am sure that previously it was open when the car doors were unlocked? Any light on this? Thanks
  5. Hi on tdi versions (maybe others) it sits above the air filter box, engine compartment passenger side. Could be an expensive electric driven pump up behind the wheel arch passenger side. Its possible to see the cap for the fluid topup way down the engine compartment passenger side behind the headlight unit. Hope thats helpful.
  6. Hi I think S lines had that as standard but maybe thats not the case. Otherwise, the "mirror switch" on the drivers door just to front of the window switches has - left to adjust the passenger door mirror - right for the drivers side - and all the way round to point the switch indent to the rear of the car. The mirrors should then fold in. You may have details in the car documents giving "codes" as to the original fit. There are on-line chats to work the codes out to see in your car was fitted for /with. Hope that helps
  7. Finally got a response today asking if I would like to book it into my local Audi garage for a diagnostic test. I've gone back to them explaining that there are dozens, hundreds even, of threads within various car forums all complaining about the same thing. There's nothing wrong with my car, it's the pre sense that's the problem and the fact that on 2024 models you can no longer set it to "late". Even if there was a way to program the magic button on the steering wheel to turn it off and on I could adapt to that.
  8. Audi A1 Sport 2024 I don't know if this is normal as I just got the car today and I haven't registered the car with the local dealership. I have a Yellow Collision Warning Light on, when I drive a distance say ½ mile it goes off and stays off. When I stopped turn off the ignition it's the same again. Is this a design feature or fault?
  9. What do you think of hella maf units
  10. Thanks for completing your profile Grace, and for filling in the necessary background detail, and it’s pleasing you have already had progressive advice. I don’t want to hijack the thread, but I think there are a couple of confusing remarks, which would be useful to clarify:- ‘…..garage then decided to fit slave cylinder….’ So are you saying that the slave cylinder was not replaced initially when the remaining clutch components were renewed? Can you establish from the garage, what make of clutch parts were used? Kind regards, Gareth.
  11. Cheers Steve.... Funny enough since cleaning oxygen sensor that fault code has not returned.... just maf ..
  12. The only progress this month is that the car has gone to the fabricators for some welding, hopefully I can then get rid of the spacers and fit the coilovers, the car sits too high as I have removed a lot of weight, the auto weighed a lot compared to the manual gearbox. I will update when the car comes back probably in july some time.
  13. Hi, just joined, Audi A6 2021
  14. Any garage worth its salt would have looked at the two cylinders first as they are the obvious culprits when a pedal remains on the floor. I suspect the garage has wasted a lot of your money.
  15. Hi everyone I am new to Audi forum. I have bought an Audi Q7 from an online auction without headlights. When I looked at the wiring, I noticed that someone had cut the wires on both sides to release the lights instead of taking the clips off. Now I am left with ten different coloured wires. The headlights use T14 connectors. I have bought the connectors, which have markings 1-14 (pins 8, 9 and 14 are blank) . Can someone help me identify what colour wires will connect to what number of pins? The wire colours on the right side are 2 x brown, white/red, yellow/red, yellow grey, yellow/blue, purple/blue, grey/brown, and grey/black. The wire colours on left are 2x brown, green/black, green/yellow, green/purple, green/grey, green/brown, black/white, Thick yellow/green, thick yellow/black. Thanks in advance
  16. Hi if both items have been on the car since new it might be worth changing both for Bosch units, O.E. on average most oxygen sensors and MAFs only last about 80k or three years and gradually go what's known as blind the o2 sensor especially, the MAF heats up and measures how long it takes to cool giving a raw value of the speed and ambient air temperature coming in, the 02 sensor does exactly the same thing but because of the precious metal coating inside it only measures the oxygen level in the exhaust gas stream, both are easy to change but will need re adaption to learn new values. Steve.
  17. Hi which brand of master cylinder was fitted, it sounds very much like either the system still has air in it or the cylinder is defective [not unknown on aftermarket] I personally went through this some years back and finally bought a genuine LUK unit which once power bled solved my problem, the main problem was the cheapo Dot 4 my garage used so I switched to Comma ESP 4 and the combination of a new cylinder and a brake fluid change cured it. Steve.
  18. Hi all A quick update remanufactured gearbox in working a treat 3 weeks in used Luk clutch kit no unusual noises so fingers crossed thx all
  19. Hi going through carista air mass value is stuck on 249.99
  20. I am very sorry not to have supplied more info. My q2 1.4 tfsi 2017 clutch stuck to floor and gears became stuck so had to get towed to nearest garage. The garage have fitted flywheel and clutch kit which initially seemed to sort problem, however I drove car for one mile from garage and the clutch pedal ceased Mechanic managed to nurse it back to garage then decided to fit slave cyclinder, again this appeared to work, The clutch pedal has stuck in the floor position twice and had to be manually lifted with my foot. The clutch pedal returns halfway then springs back on lifting foot of pedal. Does anyone know if fitting a master cyclinder will rectify problem. Hydraulic system has been fully bled by mechanic. Any help would be most welcome as we are now passed the £2000.00 mark
  21. Ho Steve thanks for your reply that code only came up because a ran car with sensor unplugged and removed from exhaust off car cleared after reinstalled but 02 sensor running rich has always been there since I have owned car ... Do you think replacing o2 sensor would be best to do 1st Regards mark
  22. Hello Mr. Smart, Would you please take a little of your time to complete your profile properly, in the hope that fellow forum members will be prepared to spend their valuable time to try to help you. Kind regards, Gareth.
  23. Hi well the SMART thing to do would be to supply more info, is it sticking down/up or is a guessing job.
  24. Hi its most likely the oxygen sensor, problem being when you put the other MAF on it will need re adaption and cleaning both with brake cleaner wont help, contact cleaner is better as it wont strip the coating off the MAF diode, the o2 sensor is the same as its coated inside with palladium and other precious metals but if the heater is going no amount of cleaning will cure it, with regard to throwing money away a new sensor is not that expensive but still needs adaption when fitted. Steve.
