  2. The 10th letter of your VIN is supposed to tell you year of manufacture. In my case the 10th letter is an L, suggesting 2020. However the Build info says 2019... https://www.alldata.com/us/en/support/repair-collision/article/vin-to-year-chart https://www.webuyanycar.com/free-car-check/what-year-is-my-car/
  3. No idea about the battery, I didn't even think of checking it, however I have had it connected to my artidiag while running and it shows 13.1v. I think I'll call into the stealers, to see about the coilpacks recall and see if it has been updated to lower the o2 sensor temperature. I have another modification to do to it, I have the touareg pcv pipe to fit as the one in the cam cover is burping every cycle.
  4. A friend of mine recommends Autel.
  5. So this happened within the first year of your ownership? Which would be less than 5 yrs since the car's first registration date? I ask because you may have some redress here through use of consumer's right act (1st October 2015). Basically you've 5 yrs in Scotland and 6 yrs in England, Wales and NI, through courts to show - using an expert - that the product was faulty all along. I'll try and dig up more info. Audi as with any other manufacturer will deny any fault. You take them to court and they usually buckle before any judgement is passed, as they don't want to make a rod for their back. A gentleman I know of took Apple to court in the UK over a faulty battery on a 5yr mac book. Apple laughed and so they went to court. Said gentleman won the case. Apple now have a rod made regarding laptop batteries. Foote v Apple.
  6. What's your battery voltages like? Newer cars are very prone to show random warning lights if the battery is slowly dying off. 2017, if that's when the battery was last changed, could - could be your problem.
  7. Hi My recent purchase has been ace to drive, then the offside rear wheel bearing decided it didn't want to have abs anymore, and promptly despatched the sensor with the magnetic ring. Now I have a couple of lights on the dash, standard abs and traction lights which is understandable. Also the headlight range adjuster is on and the eml with p1617 code which is a glowplug short circuit to ground. Only things done to the car is a full service including all filters and I fitted dry induction kit. Car hadn't been serviced since 2017. Fuel filter was cut open and looked like it had fungus growing like the junk on diesel filters from biodiesel. Just can't work out the p1617 code. Cheers
  8. Hi Martyn, I have ordered the wheel and the jack kit, although I havent received them yet. I was wondering which jack did you get, do you have a link to it please? Peter - Do we know for sure the space-saver doesnt fit the front or is it a Chinese whisper getting around as I appreciate Martyn's is a 21 reg but do they change that much?
  9. I don't even know what colour it is, must look for the sticker, Seems to be a different shade depending on light.
  10. Hi I'm hoping someone can help me. I've just had the timing belt and water pump changed on my a5 2.0 tdi quattro. The first time I went for a drive it showed a start stop fault followed by a Drive system fault. It seems to be driving and idling well. The mechanic drove it to my home after the work was completed and didn't mentions any faults.
  11. Sorry Jay, not understanding your last paragraph and question.
  12. Hi Neil, I'm glad you like the S7, I bought it a few weeks ago and am really enjoying the drive. Your point about 'a nice set of wheels' is a good one, as that is exactly what I'm doing. I have found pictures of a genuine Audi 15 spoke alloy with diamond cut silver spokes and a polished rim, but I cant find any to look at in the 'flesh'. My local Audi dealer can get them from Germany, but if I order them I have to have them. As a consequence I am ordering one single wheel to see what they are like and to try on the car, and if all good I will order another 3. If all goes to plan I will post some additional pictures. Thanks Neil Chris
  13. Hi, if you are going to purchase a new Maf sensor make sure it an original one, I bought a cheap ebay one and it gave me more problems, the misfire could be the spark plugs if they haven't been changed recently, unfortunately the sensors can go bad easily with the TT, I had the red oil light on my dash, I changed the oil pump and pick-up pipe and it didn't fix it, I then bought a oil pressure sensor, it solved the problem, the sensor was only £15, the TT likes to test us 🤣
  14. We have B9.5 S-line on 19" wheels (A5 mind you). Yes it is firm but looks amazing and I think I notice the ride more than my wife. The flat bottom wheel etc. also look great.
  15. Thanks there is no option on Mine mate.
  16. Just to say in the video, that rattle is the heat shield underneath lol. Not in the engine 🤣
  17. Thanks guys, I have changed the egt and the coolant temp sensor. It's runs worse now, misfiring, spluttring, stinks of fuel, but I did take some pipes apart to see if I could see or feel any splits. I did the maf sensor test and I'm thinking now it's the maff. I pick the part up tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed otherwise he will be sat on the drive until the end of the month. 20240610_154531.mp4
  18. Yep that was the date I was after and yes they sent me one for my car. Date was Nov 2019. From the earlier discussion we (you guys) seem to think the 2021 registration date is not too unusual a gap from build to registration. So how does VIN work, if the sticker in the car and the build record show 2019, how is the VIN showing 2020 "L"?
  19. See my pic of the 11th March on the previous page
  20. I've got an Audi 100 2.3E with the NF engine. Sometimes when I start it it runs ok. Sometimes when I try to start it it wont. Sometimes when I start it it runs bad, often stalls. When it runs well fuel pressure (system and control) is good, differential pressure around 0.4 bar, the EHA doing it's job as it should. When it runs bad the fuel pressure is way off. Differential pressure around 0.2 bar. I've checked the EHA current by turning ignition on but not starting. Sometimes it's at around 120mA, sometimes around 20mA, sometimes something else. It should of course be the same every time. Anyone familiar with this behaviour? Ideas? I'm starting to think the ECU might be broken. Thomas
  21. I admire your patience Sharon. I would have given up on Audis long ago if I had suffered the company's deplorable customer care.
  22. Yes, water ingress has been proven but Noone seems to be able to identify how it is getting in. Unfortunately the 1 year warranty has expired.
  23. I don't know about an A5, but on any other car I would expect a way to reset the warning from the dashboard controls in case the pressures are altered.
